The Palestinian Prisoners Society has said that the Israeli army has rounded up at least 20 people, including several former prisoners, in raids across the occupied West Bank since last night, Al Jazeera reports.
The arrests took place across the governorates of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus, Tulkarem and Salfit, the group said. Israeli forces had carried out hours-long field interrogations of dozens of people during some of the raids, including in the Beit Jibrin camp near Bethlehem.
The latest detentions bring the total number of arrests made by Israeli forces in the West Bank since the start of the war on Gaza to more than 15,700, said the Prisoners Society.
