The armed wing of the Palestinian group Islamic Jihad has said that the fate of captives held in the Gaza Strip is linked to the actions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, AFP reports.

“The fate of the prisoners (hostages) held by the resistance is directly tied to Netanyahu’s actions, for better or worse,” the Al-Quds Brigades said in a video statement posted on its Telegram channel after Netanyahu threatened to resume fighting in Gaza if militants do not release Israeli captives held in the territory by Saturday.
