The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reports that recent winter storms have destroyed at least five child-friendly safe spaces in Khan Younis and central Gaza.

This will significantly impact the provision of community-based mental health and psychosocial support activities, the agency said.

According to Al Jazeera, the storms also destroyed the Jabalia safe space for women and girls, the largest such site in northern Gaza.

It served nearly 500 women and girls each month.
