PM Shehbaz hopes Israel’s ‘genocidal operation’ in Gaza will be followed by ‘lasting peace’

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that he hoped Israel’s “genocidal operation” in Gaza would now be followed by “lasting peace”.

While speaking at the World Government Summit, the premier said that the gathering could not have come at a more opportune moment as the region began to recover from the “tumultuous aftershocks of the tragic conflict in Gaza which claimed over 50,000 innocent Palestinians”.

“Pakistan believes that durable and just peace is only possible through a two-state solution in accordance with the relevant UN resolution which is the creation of an independent state of Palestine with pre-1967 boundaries and Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital,” PM Shehbaz said.
