UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has made a public call for the international community to “fully fund” humanitarian relief for the Palestinian people, Al Jazeera reports.

Guterres said in a post on X the UN is working “around the clock to reach Palestinians in need & scale up support”.

“That requires rapid, safe, unimpeded, expanded & sustained access,” he said.

“I call on Member Countries, donors & the international community to fully fund humanitarian operations & meet urgent needs.”
