Qadura Fares, head of the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs in Palestine, has provided an update on the whereabouts of several exchanged prisoners who were part of last month’s ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel, Al Jazeera reports.

He said, “F15 deported Palestinians have left Cairo for Turkiye as part of the process of relocating freed detainees.”

Fares also pointed out that “80 deported Palestinians remain in Cairo, awaiting transfer procedures to several other countries,” and that “the occupation authorities have transferred 20 deported detainees to the Gaza Strip in the last batch due to the difficulty of finding places to receive them.”
