Buses carrying about 150 Palestinian prisoners have arrived at the European Hospital in Khan Younis, Tareq Abu Azzoum of Al Jazeera reports.

“They are reuniting with their families. We could see them waving and speaking to their family members from the buses,” he said.

“They are incredibly overwhelmed and emotional and we can hear the celebrations by their families,” the reporter added.

“The returned prisoners are expected to undergo a medical check,” he said.

“Overwhelming, chaotic scenes are unfolding here for the families and the prisoners,” Azzoum concluded.
