Vehicles belonging to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have arrived and are in position at the exchange point in southern Khan Younis, Al Jazeera reports.

Dozens of Hamas fighters are also at the exchange point and a military vehicle is playing music over a loudspeaker.

A small crowd of Palestinians, keeping a respectful distance, has begun to gather with some carrying Palestinian flags and the green Hamas flags.
