Al Jazeera spoke to the son of a released Palestinian prisoner who is due to arrive in Khan Younis.
“We thank God for everything, for this great and big day. Our father was one of those in the deal. This is really a great achievement, and we would like to thank the resistance for this. We are hopeful. I can’t describe how I’m feeling right now,” he said.
“I was two years old when my father was in prison, and today I’m over 32 years old. My son, Nidal, is six years old. I’m so grateful to God for having the opportunity to live these moments and to see my father, and I hope that all the prisoners will be released,” he said.
