Trump’s Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff has hailed Qatar’s role in resolving the latest Israel-Hamas row, saying the deal over Israeli captive Arbel Yehud’s release and the return of Palestinians to north Gaza was “wonderful”.
According to Al Jazeera, Witkoff made the comments while speaking to reporters in New York.
“I talked to the president about it, President Trump, and he was thrilled about it,” Witkoff said.
He said the Qatari prime minister :did a really amazing job, as he has throughout this entire process. I thank the Israeli government and everyone who was involved“. “It’s a good day for the hostages.”
