US Treasury lifts sanctions against violent Israeli settlers after Trump order
The US Treasury Department has lifted sanctions on violent Israeli settlers and organisations behind the unrest in the occupied West Bank in compliance with an executive order by new US President Donald Trump, Al Jazeera reports.
The Office of Foreign Affairs Control (OFAC), which is in charge of administering the US sanctions regime, confirmed that all 17 individuals and 16 organisations are now free from the blacklist and will have any blocked property or asset released.
