The cabinet is expected to approve the Gaza ceasefire deal at the meeting, slated for 1:15pm PKT (08:15 GMT), Al Jazeera reports citing Israel’s Arutz Sheva news site.

In advance of the meeting, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is meeting with his far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, according to Israel’s Ynet News site.

Smotrich has sought assurances from Netanyahu that Israel will return to war after phase one of the deal, while far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has threatened to resign if the deal passes.
