The Israeli newspaper Haaretz is reporting that antigovernment and captive release protests will take place across Israel, Al Jazeera reports.

It said the main protests would take place in Tel Aviv. One will be held in front of the Israeli military’s headquarters, and the other will be a rally organised by the Hostages and Missing Families Forum that will take place at what has become known as “Hostages Square”.

The newspaper reported that Shira Elbag, the mother of captive Liri Elbag, is expected to speak at the rally, the first time she will have made a public address since Hamas released a video of her daughter confirming she is alive.
