The US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Egyptian foreign minister have spoken on the phone about the renewed truce talks, which Egypt and the United States are helping mediate, Al Jazeera reports.
They discussed the “latest developments in ongoing efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza that secures the release of the hostages, increases the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza, and brings an end to the war,” State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said in a statement.
