The Palestinian group has said the recent deaths of five prisoners in Israeli jails are “a clear evidence of the extent of the occupation’s brutality and its detachment from all human values”, Al Jazeera reports.

In a statement, Hamas accused Israel of “the crimes of enforced disappearance, the policy of medical negligence, the acts of torture, abuse and deprivation” towards the Palestinian prisoners.

It stressed that the crimes it alleges are the results of “international impotence” and “the unjust American bias against our people”.

It also called on the Palestinian people to organise “mass activities to support the prisoners” and urged “human rights organisations to take effective positions” against Israel.
