Israeli tennis player’s match disrupted by anti-Israel protest in Auckland
A group of pro-Palestinian protesters chanting slogans have led to the halting of a tennis match between Israeli player Lina Glushko and four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka during the ASB Classic tennis tournament, according to local media reports, Al Jazeera reports.
The demonstrators outside the venue, protesting the presence of Glushko in the tournament, could clearly be heard at the venue, in television broadcasts of the match and videos shared on social media.
