A spokesperson for the civil defence agency in Gaza, Mahmoud Basal, has issued a plea to aid organisations to protect displaced Palestinians in tents from winter weather, severe cold and stray dogs, Al Jazeera reports.
In a video published on Instagram Basal said, “We call on international organisations to urgently intervene to protect these people.
“I am standing in the Yarmouk area of Gaza. Here are thousands of tents for the displaced that lack any of the necessities of life. Life is difficult with severe cold, and there is no infrastructure for these people”, he added.
