Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar says the government may have “an opportunity now” to secure a deal with Hamas to free the captives held in Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.

“We may have an opportunity now for a hostage deal. Israel is serious about reaching a hostage deal and I hope we can do this — and do it as soon as possible,” Saar said.
