Israeli soldiers have arrested at least eight Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, Wafa news agency reports.

Seven of them were arrested while passing through the Der Sharaf checkpoint, northwest of Nablus, the report said, citing monitoring group Prisoners Club.

In a separate incident, a man was arrested in Hebron. Security and local sources told the Palestinian news agency that Israeli forces have set up several military checkpoints at the entrances to city and areas surrounding it.
