RAWALPINDI: A case has been registered against a man on the charge of sexually assaulting a woman in the limits of New Town police.

The woman had been associated with a trading company for the last 18 months as an assistant manager. According to her complaint to the police, she had an interaction with the man in connection with another job.

She said the man came to her hostel on Monday and informed her that a job had been arranged and she had to go with him for a brief interview. She accompanied him in a car in which three other persons were already sitting.

She said on gunpoint, she was driven to a house where she was raped by the suspect.

She said later she was dropped outside the hostel where she lived.

Meanwhile, a man was robbed of Rs500,000 by two robbers while returning home after withdrawing the cash from a bank in Saddar.

Mohammad Bilal, a resident of Dhoke Syedan, lodged a complaint with the police that the motorcycle riders looted him in Qasim Market.
