GUJAR KHAN: A woman allegedly killed her husband by hitting him with an iron platter in Ahdi village in the jurisdiction of Jatli police station on Wednesday morning.

According to police sources, Mian Mahmood Chohan and his wife had a quarrel in their house over some issue during which the man hit his wife with an iron rod. The woman also struck him with a sharp edged iron platter used for baking bread, critically injuring him.

Mahmood was being shifted to the hospital but he died on the way. The woman, who also sustained injuries, was arrested by the police and later hospitalised. The police have registered an FIR against her.
