KARACHI: Several personnel belonging to Pakistan Navy were decorated with military awards here on Friday.

The investiture ceremony was attended by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammed Amjad Khan Niazi as the chief guest.

As many as four officers — Cdre Shahzad Iqbal, Cdre Tauqeer Ahmad Khawaja, Cdre Muhammad Ahsan Raza Mallhi and Cdre Syed Talat Hussain — received Sitara-i-lmtiaz (military).

Three officers — Cdr Kabbir Yahya Khan, Cdr Muhammad Atif Khan and Lt Cdr Abdul Rehman Khan — received Tamgha-i-lmtiaz (military).

Tamgha-i-Basalat was conferred upon Cdr Syed Eusaf Viqar while Barkat Ali was awarded an Imtiazi Sanad.

In addition, 14 Tamgha-i-Khidmat (military)-I, 17 awards of Tamgha-i-Khidmat (military)-II and 10 awards of Tamgha-i-Khidmat (military)-III were conferred upon CPOs and sailors.

Meanwhile, some 29 Officers, CPOs/ sailors and navy civilians were presented with letters of commendation by the naval chief.
