ISLAMABAD: The special court of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday granted post-arrest bail to Tiktoker Sandal Khattak in a case related to leaked videos of her estranged friend Hareem Shah.

The FIA had arrested Khattak on June 12 after Special Judge Central Azam Khan dismissed her petition seeking pre-arrest bail.

The case was based on a complaint filed by Shah for allegedly leaking her objectionable videos on social media.

During Tuesday’s hearing, Khattak’s counsel argued that the FIA did not issue any notice to the TikToker regarding the inquiry or the investigation into the case.

He said Khattak had shared live streaming of the video footage, did not record the same and the investigation agency did not find any evidence from her cellphone.

He argued that Shah was laughing when she was being filmed which shows that the video was recorded with her consent.

He further argued that Khattak had surrendered her mobile to the investigation team whereas Shah not yet hand over her cellphone to the investigators.

Judge Azam Khan granted Khattak bail in the matter.

Following the release of her objectionable video clips by an unidentified social media user, Shah accused Khattak and Ayesha Naz of breaching her privacy after stealing the videos from her mobile phone when they lived together.

Shah then filed a complaint with the FIA under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act.
