Anti-Islam forces plotting to weaken Pakistan: Fazl

QUETTA: The chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has said that international anti-Islam forces are hatching conspiracies to politically and economically destabilise Pakistan.

The agents of these forces, he said, were making efforts to weaken parliament, political parties and the Constitution.

Addressing a JUI-F convention at Ayub Stadium on Thursday, Maulana Fazl pledged that his party would foil all such plots with the help of people and political forces. A large number of party workers and supporters attended the convention.

The JUI-F leader said the ‘failed foreign policy’ of the PTI government had isolated Pakistan and the country lost the trust of its friendly countries, particularly Saudi Arabia.

Maulana Fazl said that since it gained power at the Centre in April, the coalition government of PDM was making all-out efforts to restore the confidence of all friendly countries.

Former provincial ministers Mir Zafarullah Zehri, Ghulam Dastagir Badini, Amanullah Notezai, tribal chieftains and political leaders Sardar Zafar Gichki, Gul Khan Sasoli, Pervez Syapad Rind, Nawabzada Nowruz Khan, Malik Abdul Qayyum Kakar, Asmat Agha and others on the occasion announced their decision to join JUI-F.
