KARACHI: Administ­rator Murtaza Wahab on Tuesday said the next mayor of Karachi would have wide powers as he would be the chairman of major civic bodies including the KDA, Karachi Water and Sewerage Board and Solid Waste Management Board.

“A summary has been prepared to give powers to local government and after its approval by the chief minister, immediate legal course will be initiated,” he said while addressing a function for distribution of offer letters among 201 teachers who passed the IBA test.
