Three booked for burning rickshaw driver over LPG price issue

TOBA TEK SINGH: Faisalabad’s Ghulam Muhammad Abad police registered a murder case against three persons -- two brothers and a son of one of them -- for allegedly burning a rickshaw driver alive over LPG cylinder price issue.

Complainant Haji Muhammad Rafiq of Raza Abad area stated in the FIR registered under sections 302, 336 and 34 of the PPC that his sons Abdul Jabbar and Aman Ali went to replace LPG cylinder of their rickshaw at a shop at Adam Chowk.

He said at the shop, his son Jabbar had a quarrel with the dealer, Abid Hussain, over cylinder price. During the quarrel, Abid, his son Abdullah and brother Shahid overpowered Jabbar, dowsed him in petrol and set him on fire. He added the suspects did not allow anyone to immediately shift his son to hospital, who suffered severe burns.

He was finally some locals rescued Jabbar and rushed him to the Government General Hospital, where doctors referred him to the Allied Hospital’s burns unit, where he succumbed to his burns Police have arrested all the three suspects and started investigation.

YOUTH KILLED: A minor dispute claimed life of a youth, while his two brothers were injured seriously on Sunday at Faisalabad’s Chak 117-JB, Dhanola village.

According to the FIR registered under sections 302, 324, 148 and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) by Faisalabad’s Millat Town police, complainant Rana Bashir Ahmad stated that his three sons were watching a football match in a ground outside the village, when one of them, Danish Ali, exchanged harsh words with the prime suspect, Abdul Rehman, who had also quarreled with his son (Danish) a day ago.

He said Rehman allegedly attacked Danish with a knife, while his eight accomplices carrying clubs and knives assaulted his other sons – Salahuddin and Ali Raza.

As a result, he said, all of his three sons were critically wounded.

The injured brothers, he said, were rushed to the Allied Hospital, where Danish succumbed to his injuries, while the two others were in serious condition.

Police were conducting raids to arrest the suspects.
