LAHORE: A mother of two was allegedly shot dead by her uncle over a family dispute in Manawan area here on Thursday.
The incident occurred in Awan Dhaye Wala village where the suspect fired on Shakra, 25, and fled the scene leaving her injured critically. She was rushed to hospital where doctors pronounced her dead.
A police official said the woman had come to her parents’ house. Her uncle Faisal exchanged hot words with her over issues she was facing at her in-laws.
Later, the suspect returned with a pistol and shot at her. The police shifted the body to the city morgue for autopsy.
