PCAA extends travel advisory till 18th

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) on Saturday notified further extension in its travel advisory for internatio-nal passengers, chartered and private flights inbound to Pakistan till March 18.

The PCAA had earlier extended its travel advisory for inbound passengers till March 14, with the addition of nine more countries to its C-category list. Sharing lists of countries categorised as A, B and C, the organisation issued a standard operating procedure for all inbound passengers.

The fresh travel advisory issued by the PCAA air transport department director will remain valid till March 18.

Travellers from 21 countries do not require Covid-19 PCR test before entering Pakistan

After the addition of nine countries, there are now 15 countries in the C-category including the UK, South Africa, Portugal, Peru, Netherlands, Tanzania, Botswana, Columbia, Comoros, Ghana, Ireland, Kenya, Zambia, Brazil and Mozambique.

International travel to Pakistan from the C-category countries is restricted and only allowed as per guidelines of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

The PCAA has categorised 21 countries “A”. Travellers from the countries in the A category do not require Covid-19 PCR test before entering Pakistan, whereas travellers from the countries not specified in the A category require a test (not more than 72 hours old) before commencing travel to Pakistan. All the countries not specified in the categories A and C fall in category B, according to the aviation authority.
