KOHAT: Adviser to the chief minister on information technology, MPA Ziaullah Bangash has said the government has decided to install two crypto currency (Bitcoin mining) plants and will also give NOCs to private entrepreneurs for making the digital currency.
Talking to mediapersons here on Monday, he said the government had approved funds for creating the digital currency. “A bill has also been passed in the KP Assembly in this regard,” he added.
The government feels that Pakistan should not be left behind in the field of digital currency mining, he said, adding at present there were 11.1 million Bitcoins in circulation around the world which were being increased by 90 per day.
He said US stood first in the business followed by Nigeria, China, Canada, Britain and India.
The first step has been taken by the KP government and the other provinces will follow the suit, he said, adding price of virtual crypto currency had touched the highest level of 33,000 US dollars or Rs5.4 million. After Dec 16, 2020, its price had risen by $13,000, he explained.
ENMITY RESOLVED: An old enmity between rival tribes of Sumari Payan was resolved here on Monday.
Zarmoin Khan, elder of one of the groups, told journalists that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came in the dream of a cleric, revealing the names of 11 members of his family and asking them to end the enmity.
“First of all we did not believe in the dream, but later we took the matter to local and Karachi and Akora Khattak seminaries, where we were told that the dream was true,” the elder said.
He said following the dream, the rival group was invited to a hujra, where the matter was discussed. After that the tribes agreed to end the hostility and live like brothers.
He said sweets were distributed on the occasion and members of the tribes embraced one another.
He said the Sumari region did not see any development during the past six years as it had been turned into a no-go area due to the enmity, which has claimed over 25 lives and left 63 persons injured.
