Czechs tighten measures against Covid-19 with curfew, retail curbs

The Czech government has ordered a 9pm curfew and will limit retail sales on Sundays as part of tighter measures to curb the spread of novel coronavirus infections, ministers said.

The government’s curfew will be in place Oct 28-Nov 3 and will last until 5am each day. Exemptions include travel for work or family visits.

Retail shops still running under current restrictions must also close by 8pm and on Sundays, with exceptions for gas stations, pharmacies or shops at train stations and other travel points.
