I SAW a black Prado stop near our front gate with about 30 or so poor people who seemed like daily wage earners following the vehicle.

Probably the driver must have told them to follow him.

One man disembarked and told them to form a line but keep three feet distance from each other. After a queue was formed, another person stepped out of the vehicle and started handing out large bags of rations to each person.

Our neighbor’s chowkidar got up to join the queue and then stopped. He remarked: “this will not be right. We have jobs and get salaries.”

After a few minutes the queue was gone and so was the philanthropist.

I salute this person and all others like him who are thinking about others in these trying times!
