CHARSADDA: Awami National Party central president Asfandyar Wali Khan has said that Pakistan should play neutral role in the simmering conflict between Iran and the US and should not indulge in other countries’ wars.
In a statement issued from the Wali Bagh here on Sunday, he said that Pakistan should play neutral role to protect the nation from impacts of the prevailing tensions in the Persian Gulf. He asked Islamabad to play its role to de-escalate tensions in Middle East.
Expressing deep concern over the killing of Iranian Commander Gen Qasim Sulemani in a US attack in Iraq, he said that the incident might spark another war in the Middle East. He said that war between Iran and US would directly affect Pakistan. He said that ANP always opposed militancy and terrorism.
