CHAKWAL: Police arrested a 50-year-old man on the charge of sexually assaulting his daughter.

According to police, the suspect worked in a brick-kiln in Lawa, Chakwal. His 18-year-old daughter reported to the police that her mother had passed away a few years ago and for the last many days her father had been assaulting her. She alleged that on Sunday when her father tried to rape her again, her aunt saved her. The suspect ran away from the scene. The girl along with her aunt lodged an application with the Lawa police. The police registered a case against the suspect and arrested him.

“The accused has been remanded for four days,” a police official told Dawn.
