THE rains on Aug. 10 and 11 wreaked havoc on Karachi, and the news channels and social media were full of the disaster caused by the weather.
On the next day (Aug 12) which was Eid, the water receded and many of the roads were largely dry.
All the trees and plants looked fresh and green with not a speck of dirt on them. Little garbage could be seen on the roads and the city had a washed and clean look.
Let us remember to appreciate the good and thank Almighty Allah, and not just moan about the bad. This is the way to our becoming a happier nation.
