HYDERABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Hyderabad district leaders on Friday condemned statement of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s parliamentary party leader in the Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh for criticising PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s just concluded Caravan-i-Bhutto.
In their statement, PPP’s Hyderabad district president Sagheer Qureshi, general secretary Ali Mohammad Sehto and others observed that successful Caravan-i-Bhutto had baffled PTI. “In fact, they are worried because millions of people turned out to welcome their beloved leader [Bilawal] which exposed PTI’s fake mandate,” they said, adding that Mr Sheikh should do some introspection before criticising PPP. They said the PTI government was targeting its political opponents which was reflected in actions being taken by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), and warned that [Prime Minister] Imran Khan should be mindful that he would not be able to face imprisonment if NAB took action against him.
They said the day was not far when the PTI government would be ousted.
