KARACHI: Syed Mansoor Abbas Rizvi has been appointed director general of the Karachi Development Authority.
Official sources said on Tuesday that after taking charge the new DG called a session of senior officers here in Civic Centre.
They said that the KDA chief was briefed by all the heads of different departments regarding administrative and financial matters.
While addressing the staff, Mr Rizvi said that all departmental heads must be prepared for budget of financial year 2019/20.
He asked the officers and employees to perform their duties with punctuality and responsibly and implement all positive suggestions for the stability of KDA. “Ghost and absentee employees would not be allowed and it is important that officers should make strong coordination to solve issues related to development authority,” he added.
The KDA chief said that the authority would continue action against illegal occupation and encroachments on KDA property under the orders of the Supreme Court.
He also instructed the recovery staff to make arrangements for generating new avenues of income.
Mr Rizvi further said that all the land-related records should be computerised.
