KARACHI: The fifth fixture of the Orchid School Royal Premier League Karachi producing an enthralling finish on Tuesday when HESCO Hyderabad staged a great comeback to force a tie against Innovators CC at the RLCA Gulberg Ground.
HESCO totalled 174-6 in their allotted 20 overs after being put in with opener Naseer Baloch scoring 56 off 36 balls (seven fours and one six), skipper Mohammad Qazafi (an unbeaten 43 off 23, three sixes and two fours) and experienced first-class player Lal Kumar 34 off 28 balls with four boundaries.
Off-spinner Arif Chagarzai claimed 3-24 in four overs.
Innovators CC seemed set for victory as Rehan Tanoli (69 off 30 balls, seven fours and five sixes) and Akhtar Mohammad (24 off 21) added 91 for the opening wicket inside the first eight overs.
But HESCO fought back well to share points as Innovators ended up making 174-7.
Rehan and Naseer were declared joint recipients of the man-of-the-match award and received their prizes from chief guest Kashif Parvez.
