Pakistan bound to rise after meeting challenges: COAS

GUJAR KHAN: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday said that Pakistan had come a long way in responding to its challenges and was bound to rise.

The army chief was on a visit to the Strike Corps headquarters in Mangla where he witnessed ongoing training sessions and interacted with the troops.

He praised them for their high morale and standard of training.

Talking about the challenges faced by Pakistan, he said that despite commitments on the western border and internal security duties, the country could not remain oblivious to perpetual conventional threats which demanded high standards of training and operational readiness.

Quoting Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, he said that no power could undo Pakistan and for this purpose the nation and its state institutions shall continue to perform cohesively in the best interest of the country.

“The only thing needed is to stay steadfast and remain united as a nation” said Gen Bajwa.
