At least one civilian was killed and two policemen injured in two separate attacks in Karachi's North Nazimabad neighbourhood on Friday.

Police constable Muhammad Iqbal was injured when unidentified assailants lobbed a hand grenade at Taimuria Police Station in North Nazimbad.

Later, 25-year-old Ali Imran was shot dead when miscreants opened fire at Five Star Chowrangi in the same area.

Bashir, a traffic police official, was injured in the firing incident.

Inspector General Sindh A.D. Khowaja, taking notice of the two incidents, ordered DIG-West to present a report after conducting a detailed inquiry.
