In the US, about 75pc of college students who are studying business have at least one internship during their university years, according to data from Bloomberg Businessweek. These internships allow students to gain new skills, real-world experience and build networks. And internships pay off too: According to Bloomberg, about 61pc of students who had an internship also received a job offer by the last semester of their schooling, compared to 28pc who did not.
