A dedicated student, a position holder and a parade commander in his school, Hamza Ali Kakar was known among friends as Captain Hamza and wanted to join the army.
Like boys his age, he was fond of fast food and BBQ items, with pizza, chicken tikka, biryani and seekh kebab among his favourite dishes. He also had a sweet tooth and enjoyed eating chocolates, cakes and ice-cream.
Hamza was also fond of travelling outside the city and would visit Nathia Gali once a month.
Hamza was a respectful and loving boy who was close to his father. Tears in his eyes, Hamza’s father recalls how his son had asked him to get him a pet chicken and a goat for him upon clearing his exam. Hamza finally got his pets but that happened just three days before the APS attack.
