MANSEHRA: A newly-married couple died after allegedly eating poisonous mushrooms in Karori union council of Oghi on Sunday.

According to local residents, they were taken to hospital where doctors confirmed that both had eaten poisonous thing in their meal.

The incident happened in Bacha Bandi village. Mohammad Shakil and his wife, who had got married three months ago, fell unconscious after eating mushrooms and later died on way to hospital. The family told reporters that both the victims had eaten mushrooms in their meal.

In another incident, a nomad killed his wife on the outskirts of the city.

According to police, Mohammad Kashmir, who was settled along with other nomad families near Lorry Adda, killed his wife, Safurain Bibi, and fled the scene along with his children.

The reason behind the murder couldn’t be ascertained. City police after registering FIR started investigation to apprehend the accused.
