MUZAFFARABAD: A man and two women were killed and five others, including a couple, were injured after a mini jeep they were travelling in plunged into a ravine in the southern Poonch district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

The ill-fated jeep, which was coming to Hajira from Sirrari village, fell down the road at about 10am due to the negligence of driver, identified as Shazab, a police official told Dawn from the area by telephone.

As a result, Adil Sabeer, Rashida Begum and Shamim Akhat died on the spot, and five others, identified as Imran, his spouse Kulsoom, Murtaza, Mohammad Naseer and Bhola were injured.
