LAHORE: On the eve of the team’s departure for New Zealand to participate in two-match ODI series ahead of the World Cup, the national team endorsed a strong anti-corruption message, Say No to Corruption, being promoted by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

According to a press release issued here on Thursday, the NAB intensified its campaign against corruption. Recently, after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Higher Education Commission, NAB has joined hands with Pakistan Cricket Board to create awareness among the masses against the menace of corruption.

“NAB chairman appreciated the role of Pakistan Cricket Board chairman who urged national heroes to pledge against corruption which is rampant in the society. Displaying of NAB’s official message for the year 2015 ‘Say NO to Corruption’ gave strength to the NAB’s campaign against corruption and corrupt practices.

“NAB chairman said that after joining the campaign by the national heroes, the NAB could achieve its target affectively to create awareness against corruption and corrupt practices especially among youths who are the future of this country. In the longer run, NAB may deliver integrity lecture to the cricketers which is also the mandate of the PCB & ICC Anti-corruption unit,” the press release concluded.
