BANNU, May 1: Pakistan Police’s Sherzaman slammed home the quickest goal of the national footall champions on Thursday when three matches were decided here at Jinnah Sports Complex.

Sherzaman struck in the 46th seconds of second minute as Pakistan Police downed Balochistan Reds 2-1. Naeem levelled the scores for Balochistan Reds in the 36th minute but Nida Mohammed secured maximum points for with his well-struck goal from a corner kick late in the second half.

Zahid Niaz strike in the 31st minute of the opening half proved match-winner in PIA’s 1-0 victory over a game Balochistan Greens in the second encounter of the day.

PIA owe it success to goalkeeper Aslam who brought off several outstanding saves specially in the second half as the losers searched for illusive equaliser.

KRL routed UGC 5-1 in a one-sided affair in the last match of the day. Ayaz was on target in the 10th minute for KRL which was neturalized by Salman for UGC.

It was one-way traffic in the second half as KRL changed gears to struck four times. Qadir hammered home in 54th and 64th minutes to make 3-1. Nawaz made it 4-0 in the 70th minute and Sarfraz completed the rout eight minutes from the final whistle.
