PRAGUE, July 18 Czech tennis player Radek Stepanek, the men's world No 29, married compatriot and former women's world No 7 Nicole Vaidisova at Prague Castle on Saturday, an AFP photographer said.

The 31-year-old Stepanek, who led the Czech team to the Davis Cup final last year, has been sidelined since March due to fatigue and then a knee injury.

Vaidisova, 21, who won six tournaments and reached the semi-finals of the French Open in 2006 and the Australian Open in 2007, retired in March after sliding to 176 in the world from a career high of seven in May 2007.
