SUKKUR April 30: Two more persons were killed and two others were injured in a clash between two groups of the Bugti tribe in a village near RD-238, Jafarabad, Balochistan, on Wednesday.

Eight persons have been killed and six injured in the clash that started in the Jumo Khan Bajwani village on Tuesday evening. Soomar Khan, Jalal, Sain Bukhsh, Ms Suho and two other persons were killed and Makhan, Gul Hassan, Khando Khan and Khattan were injured on Tuesday.

The taluka police officer of Jafarabad told Dawn on Wednesday that tension had gripped the area as both the groups had entrenched against each other.

CLASH: Eight persons were injured in a clash over a piece of land between two groups of the Tanwari tribe in the Mir Mohammad Tanwiri village near Daharki on Wednesday .

The injured, including Karim Bukhsh, Abdul Hakeem, Shubgatullah, Majeed and Shah Nawaz, were taken to the Sukkar Civil Hospital.

The police have arrested 12 persons.

DPSC: The chairperson, District Public Safety Commission, Sukkur, Rukundin Qasmi, has convened a meeting to review progress of the commission at the district council hall here for May 3.

ELECTROCUTED: A married woman, Sobra, was electrocuted when she came in contact with a wire while pressing clothes.
