Imran crowned badminton champion

LAHORE, Nov 29 Hafiz Imran won the U-19 singles title by defeating Adil Haseeb in the final of the National Junior badminton championship at the New Khan hall here on Saturday.

Imran dropped the first game but showed up greater efforts and technique to bounce back 22-24, 21-18, 21-15.

Irfan Saeed and Arsalan Khan (Punjab) will take on Awais Zahid and Taimur (Punjab) in the boys' U-19 doubles final after winning their respective semi-final matches.

In the boys' U-16 singles semi-finals, Subhan defeated Shahroz Altaf in straight games while Amir Saeed outplayed Abdul Rehman 14-21, 21-17, 21-14 after losing the first game.
