Two killed in accidents

ISLAMABAD, April 28: Two persons were killed and another injured in separate road accidents in Islamabad, police said on Monday.

In the first incident, a man was killed after his Suzuki van (LHR-2095) collided with a college bus in the jurisdiction of I-9 police station.

The van driver, identified as Aqeel Ahmed, died on the spot while Nisar Mirza who was sitting along with him suffered injuries. The bus driver managed to escape from the scene. However, the police have impounded the bus.

In another accident, an unidentified person was killed when a speeding truck ran over him at Islamabad highway near Shakrial.

The body was shifted to Pims Hospital for postmortem.
