KARACHI, April 28: Five ships carrying containers and raw jute and to load molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to the KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side thanks to steady arrivals of foreign vessels. As a result, all the six new arrivals, Iwato, Min He, Trade Swan to unload and load containers, Limbordia, to offload crude oil, Bow Giovanni and Nur Yanbu to offload chemicals were berthed after the departure of two.

The departing ships were led by Ocean Genius and Titan Venus, while Trade Swan, Bow Giovanni, Kota Aruna, Lombardia, Global Prosperity, Iwato, Nur Yanbu and Min He are expected to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side as the total tonnage rose to 64,003 tons of import tonnage as not a single ton of export cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Oriental Lily, to load ethanol, Nord Champion to load molasses, MOL Sincerity, Sima Bahar, with containers and Banglar Mookh, with 9,500 tons of raw jute.
